The white room series

The WHITE ROOM SERIES is a series of collaborative art that focuses on changing the stigma around mental illness and addiction that has been skewed by the involvement of film and media through the years. It was created by Maya Maj (oouuf) in 2017 and is currently active.

The series focuses on anything that involves the mental aspect of health and helps to crush stigmas via the madness movement.

Starting as a project by Maya the artist decided it would be best to include art from any and every artist that deals with mental health in their own way. Since no one can truly experience every form of madness and every individual's perspective is different she decided this would be the best way to gain a personal perspective from each individual giving an accurate depiction of the subject and their specific illness as well as to break the stigma created in media by people who do not actually experience the form of madness. As well as to support artists dealing with madness and giving a platform to cope with and share experiences.
